The general public must be informed of what state surveillance authorities are doing, as they have proven themselves incapable of not abusing their technology and perpetrating great atrocities against humanity. The public needs to know and pressure must be exerted in order to achieve comprehensive reform.
Along with the implementation of new digital surveillance technologies there needs to comprehensive transparency as the authorities are testing the limits of what the human body can tolerate. They are effectively experimenting upon the populace with new technologies with nothing known about the adverse health effects.
It is apparent that comprehensive reform of state surveillance authorities is necessary. The systems, as they are, are apparently prone to abuse as it has ended up in a situation where torture by radiation is being perpetrated. This is being done, probably in many instances, where there has been no crime committed and there is only suspicion. People are being tortured 24/7 on the basis of suspicion. There is no system of due process or appeals. They are circumventing democracy and claiming the role of judge, jury and executioner.
The entire cell phone network has been set-up without signficant real research being done into possible adverse health effects. The health effects of the cumulative radiation burden must be done. And then, state surveillance authorities target individuals with much higher levels of radiation over long periods of time without understanding the adverse health effects. Real, publicly-available research must be done into the adverse effects of state surveillance activities must be done.
In order to get to a situation where state surveillance authorities think it's somehow acceptable to secretly develop and implement mind-reading technology and other surveillance technologies without adequately researching the associated adverse health effects is nothing less than a colossal fuck-up. Now, you have governmental authorities perpetrating torture 24/7 not on the basis of any crime committed. They are inducing psychosis and inducing numerous health problems in their targets. There must be a complete investigation into how this happened and how to reform the institutions involved.
Leveraging the framework of the UN, Digital Sanity is calling for an international ban on mind-reading technology except for medical uses. Authorities operating in complete secrecy with a lack of meaningful oversight are evidently incapable of not abusing their technology. It is an atrocity against humanity being carried out in the shadows.
As seen in the Havana Syndrome episode there are very real negative health effects due to radiation exposure. It is debilitating and can be incapacitating. It is torture and must be classified as assault. As such, surveillance authorities must cease to engage in such activities.
